Starter's Guide

A few things to sort out before you go

For a first visit, the unsettling part is usually not the price — it is not knowing what happens next. This page sets out the process, the service charges and the things people overlook.

STEP BY STEP

Five steps from entry to exit

The flow is the same at every venue; what differs is the facilities and scale.

STEP 01

Check in & change

Bring your passport. After registering you get a locker key and house wear; towels, slippers and toiletries are provided and lockers are free. Put valuables in the locker and carry only a wristband or key.

STEP 02

Bath area

Start in the water. Pools, steam and dry sauna differ by venue, and one or two signature baths are worth planning around — which is why bath facilities deserve their own comparison at the same price point.

STEP 03

Lounge

Then the recliner lounge. All 10 include unlimited free food and drink, and this is where guests spend the longest. Sitting back and taking your time before deciding is completely normal.

STEP 04

Add-ons, only if you want

Massages and spa treatments are optional; decide on the night. Book through us and pick two free (one at East Castle Spa and Majesty Spa). The key point: ask the price before you add anything.

STEP 05

Check out

Settle at the counter. At venues where the service charge is "included", the total matches what you were told beforehand. Most of the 10 allow overnight stays until morning.

The most overlooked column

Reading the service charge

Service charges are written four different ways across the 14, and the difference is real. Understanding this column means no surprises at checkout.

Included

The service charge is already in the board price. What the board says is what you pay — the simplest, and the fairest basis for comparing venues.

10%

10% is added at checkout. A 2,000 room costs 2,200. Include this when comparing, or you will misread the entry price.

5% + 5%

Charged as two separate 5% items, 10% in total but under different names. Two venues do this; ask what each item is before paying.

Unknown

Not stated whether included or extra. Only one venue is marked "unknown" — an opaque column like that is worth noting in itself.

Good to know

Things people overlook

Bring the original passport

Licensed venues require ID to register. Copies or photos may not be accepted; the original is safest.

Check the licence first

We only list venues that match the Macau GTI licensed-entities register. Every detail page has its own verification link.

Shift hours vary a lot

Some open at 12:00, some not until 19:00; one has therapists on site 24 hours. If your arrival time is uncertain, check the shift hours in the basics table first.

Use the free pick-up

Most venues arrange free pick-up at your hotel after booking. It matters most on a late arrival.

Overnight saves a hotel night

Most of the 10 allow overnight stays, some in the lounge recliners. Three do not — sort out your lodging first if arriving late.

Ask the price before adding

Massages and spa treatments are optional. Asking the price first protects you and keeps the conversation smooth.

FAQ

A few more questions

Yes. We only list venues that match the Macau GTI register. The bar is "verifiable", not "looks big" — if it is not on the register, it is not on our list.
All 10 include unlimited free food and drink, plus free lockers, bathing and steam. The food effectively covers your time in the lounge.
Not at all — most guests come alone. The process is the same; the difference is room availability, as themed rooms get tight for larger groups.
Yes, but ask first. Switching within the same area is not costly; if you have already checked in and used the facilities, settle how the charge works with the counter to avoid misunderstandings.
Not through us at the moment. Prices and facilities are listed for comparison; arrange any visit directly and confirm separately.
Prices and hours carry an update date (currently 2026-09-19). Prices move often, so the ranges here are for comparison — the quote on the night is what counts.
